Ingredients for patra recipe:


For The Besan combination
Bengal gram flour (besan) – 2 1/2 cups
Ginger-green chili paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Chili powder – 1 Tsp
Asafetida – 1/2 Tsp
Grated Jaggery – 3/4 cup
Tamarind pulp – 3 tbsp
Oil – 1 Tsp
salt to taste

  1. Take a bowl and combine all the ingredients mentioned for Besan mixture – add approx 1 cup of water and mix carefully till the Jaggery melts. Mix till there are no lumps.
  2. Clean all the colocasia leaves and dried out using a kitchen wipe.
  3. Remove the veins using a sharp knife which is here at the bottom of the leaf.
  4. Now, place the leaf upside down and apply a thin layer of besan fusion and increase it using your fingers.
  5. Now place one more leaf on it and apply a thin cover again.

Bharwan Tinda or Stuffed Tinda recipe with little by little following instructions. This is a Punjabi recipe of thinda or apple gourds in an onion-tomato based gravy. An own family veg recipes and one this is short sufficient to prepare. This bharwan Tinda gravy has a home style taste.


Bharwan Tinda Ingredients:

  • Half of Kg Round Gourd (Tinda)
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Pinch of asafetida (hing)
  • For Gravy/Paste
  • 1and half cup curd



Bharwan Tinda Method:

  1. Peel and wash the spherical gourds.
  2. Make 2 go cuts, leaving the bottom intact.
  3. Do no longer reduce until end.
  4. Roast dry purple chilies in 2 drops of oil.
  5. Grind most of these together.
  6. Also upload salt and turmeric to it.
  7. Fill the dry masala into spherical gourds.
  8. Crush the garlic, add to beaten curd.
  9. Crush between fingers and upload to curd. Add Salt and gram flour.

  1. Make the paste of cashew nuts.
  2. Make a paste of poppy seed and green chilies.
  3. Make the paste of mustard seed.
  4. Marinate the fish with lime juice for 1 hour.
  5. Now add all the substances: purple chili powder, turmeric powder, sugar, and salt, a paste of cashew nut, the paste of poppy seed and green chilies and paste of mustard seed over the fish.

Macchhili Jaismandi Ingredients:

Fish (as required)
4 tsp oil

For the green chutney:

Fresh mint leaves
Fresh coriander leaves
Garlic and ginger to taste

For the batter:

2 eggs
250 gm clarified flour Water
Salt to taste

For the sauce:
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
10 tsp fresh cream
2 tsp green chutney
Salt to taste

•Heat oil in a pan.
•Add cumin seeds and cook them till they start crackling.
